Process

How we work — 4 steps

01

Audit of the current site

We review the old CMS, hosting, domain, content volume and languages. We map the URLs and current Google rankings. We record the risks before the move.

02

Build on the new platform

We deploy the new CMS on a staging domain, transfer the content and structure, and build whatever is missing. The old site keeps running.

03

Redirects and SEO transfer

We prepare a map of 301 redirects from old URL to new, transfer the meta tags, sitemap, structured data and the EN/RU/EL language versions. We test the links.

04

Switchover and monitoring

We change the DNS, connect the domain and SSL, and move with no downtime. We submit the sitemap to Search Console and monitor indexing and errors for a week.

Migration guide

Website migration in Cyprus — what you need to know

The main risk of any migration is losing Google rankings. If the old page addresses simply stop opening, the search engine loses the indexed URLs and traffic drops. That's why the foundation of a migration is not design, but the map of 301 redirects: every old address points to its new one. We capture all URLs before the move, match them to the structure of the new CMS, and verify that no page returns a 404.

In Cyprus you almost always need to keep three language versions: English, Russian and Greek. When changing CMS it's easy to break the language URLs and hreflang markup — then Google starts confusing the versions with one another. We transfer all locales with their addresses and meta tags so that EN/RU/EL stay separate and each is shown to its own audience. This matters especially for businesses that serve locals, visitors and Russian-speaking clients alike.

Hosting and domain are a separate matter. Many sites in Cyprus sit on slow or closing-down providers, or the domain is registered to a former contractor. We migrate the site to proper EU or Cyprus-based hosting, transfer the access credentials to you as the owner, and configure DNS and SSL so that the switchover happens with no downtime — visitors don't notice the move at all.

FAQ · Website migration

FAQ about website migration

How much does website migration cost?
Basic migration of a business-card site or landing page — from €490. A corporate multilingual site — from €1 200. Stores and sites with integrations — from €2 900. We give an exact quote after auditing the current site.
How long does a migration take?
We migrate a simple site in 5-7 business days, and a business site with three languages in 10-14 days. Complex stores and portals are quoted per project. The old site keeps running the whole time.
Will I lose Google rankings after the move?
No, if the migration is done correctly. We capture all URLs in advance and set up 301 redirects from old address to new, and transfer meta tags and the sitemap. Rankings and traffic are preserved.
WordPress or your CMS — which to choose for the move?
It depends on your needs. WordPress — if you want a familiar, widely used platform. Our engine — if speed, security and fine-grained tuning for the business matter. We'll advise during the audit, with no pressure.
Will the site be down during the migration?
No. We build the new version on a staging domain and only switch over once everything is ready and tested. The DNS change is invisible to visitors — there's no downtime.
Will you keep the EN/RU/EL language versions?
Yes. We transfer all three locales with their URLs, meta tags and hreflang markup, so Google doesn't confuse the versions and each language is shown to its own audience in Cyprus.
What about support after the move?
For the first week we monitor indexing, broken links and errors in Search Console and fix everything free of charge. After that you can add monthly maintenance and updates.
